Measures the ability to apply the nursing process to assist clients in dealing with major health problems. While the client may be the individual, family, or community, emphasis is placed on the individual at all stages of the life-cycle. Major health problems tested are emotional and behavioral; neurological and sensory; gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and reproductive; infections and communicable diseases; complications of pregnancy, problems of the high-risk mother, and problems of the high-risk neonate; and musculo-skeletal.
