| Focuses on the nursing process and on nursing care of patients in the following areas: infectious and communicable disease problems; tissue trauma; and neurological, sensory, and musculo-skeletal dysfunction. Includes both acute and long-term needs and problems of medical-surgical and pediatric patients. Assumes the knowledge of anatomy and physiology, emotional and physical development, microbiology, and nutrition generally expected of the associate degree nurse. (This is a required examination for the Excelsior College nursing degrees. Multiple choice examination.) | ||
